It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of Gary Aronoff, WB6UQA. Gary became an NCS for MMSN back in November of 2004. He was a regular and dependable member who will be sorely missed by many. While I don’t know the details of his illness and passing, I do know he was a private man, but one who loved amateur radio and that of being an NCS.

Gary was 70 when he passed.

On behalf of the management and membership of the Maritime Mobile Service Network, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Gary.

With a heavy heart,

Bobby Graves, KB5HAV
Assistant Manager

My name is Tony Mollner (AE6D0) and I have known Gary for more than 20 years via Amateur Radio. Gary was one of my very first contacts and was an Elmer to me. After I first met Gary we set up a schedule to talk on the radio and we continued to talk nearly every day for 20 years. He told me of the love he had for his wife and his bird Lionel as well as his brother and his family. Gary became one of my best friends and I will miss him and think of him at our scheduled time every day.

73's my friend
