It is with a heavy heart that I make the following announcement. Rooney Polack, 6Y5RP, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Rooney was a long-time member and NCS for the Maritime Mobile Service Network. He lived and operated from his home near Kingston, Jamaica. A few years ago, Rooney stepped away from MMSN due to major eyesight and other health issues. I, for one, will always be able to hear his happy, friendly voice on the air as NCS.

Rooney was a friend to all and will be sorely missed.

Rest in Peace, my friend!
