K4TCL/C6A

Medical Emergency - Apr 24, 2002

On April 24, 2002, at 0145z, David K4TCL/C6A, came to the net frequency with a medical emergency. He reported that one of his crew members had ingested some Clorox bleach and was feeling ill.

The net control, Rob N8ORT, contacted the Poison Control Center and relayed the first aid information back and forth to the vessel. The frequency was kept clear during the traffic and we thank all the stations who were listening for that.

After the information was passed, the net returned to regular traffic.

Well done by all...that is exactly why the net exists!
