Raymond L. Cagle, 75, of Utica, died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township. He was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Waverly, Tenn.

Mr. Cagle was employed as a tool and die supervisor at the Ford Motor Co. 17 Mile Road and Mound plant, Sterling Heights, for 39 years. He was also a ham radio operator with the call sign K8STL. He was an avid woodworker, metal worker, latch hook rug maker, hunter, fisherman and author, publishing a book titled, "Teaser, Tickler and Test's."

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Cagle; children, Raymond (Teresa) Cagle, Patricia (Rick) Michelon and Pamela (Bob) Frink; stepchildren, David (Rene) Spalding, Jeffrey (Robin) Spalding, Jimi Ingalls, Sharon (Kelly) Stanfill, Janet (Ed) Coulther, Susan (Sam) Veal and Philip (Marcy) Spalding; five grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Gladys Pavich and Margaret Schmall.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (three blocks east of Van Dyke), Utica, with the Rev. Dale Hunter officiating. Burial will take place in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today and 3-8 p.m. Sunday.
